Texas Star Performance Horses

Texas Star Performance Horses is owned and operated by Tamworth locals, Neil Faint & Amanda Nicholson, who have proudly worn Resistol for many years.
Both born in New South Wales into horse-loving families, Amanda and Neil both had their feet firmly planted in the stirrups from a young age. Through their own equestrian pursuits with Australian Stock Horses in tow - Neil in rodeo and mustering on the family property; Amanda in pony club then on to junior cut outs - they each ignited a passion for the exciting Australian sport of Campdrafting.
Both Neil and Amanda have seen a huge amount of success in their Campdrafting Careers, including wins and placings at Paradise Lagoons, Sydney Royal World Championship Campdraft, AQHA and ASHS National Championships just to name a few.
A personal highlight of Neil's was placing 2nd overall in the invitation-only 2015 Sydney Royal World Championship Campdraft riding "Turners Stud Flirt." This incredible combination have racked up over 35 open campdraft wins throughout their campdrafting career together.
Amanda has won the 2008/09 AQHA Reserve Champion High Point Campdraft Horse of the Year riding "Yulgilbar Hank Man Chex," has been featured on the front cover of the Australia Horseman Magazine and were winners at the Ladies Campdraft at Mullaley in 2013 riding "Binnia Obsolete," after a run off for the campdraft and also cut out.
Nowadays. Neil and Amanda are paving the way for a safer and more enjoyable campdrafting experience for young, beginner and intermediate competitors, with a planned 19 Campdrafting Clinics remaining throughout New South Wales & Queensland in 2023 – with all participants eligible for the annual Texas Star Performance Horses Clinic Participants Campdraft event to be held in late November at AELEC this year.
Neil said - "Sharing our knowledge and life experiences to benefit others is just so rewarding, we love what we do and are proud of the positive influence that we are making and the results our clinic participants are achieving."
Both Amanda & Neil have been proud wearers of Resistol, hats and apparel for many years; and highly recommend the Resistol RideSafe for their clinic participants, which is the world first Equestrian Safety Helmet meets genuine Cowboy hat.
